A Million More Pages - Hogwarts: Student Club Roster

At Hogwarts there are many extracurricular activities and clubs that have been formed over the millennia for young witches and wizards to enjoy in whatever free time they might have. The following is a list of student clubs with current openings.

Astronomy Club
Astronomy Club is a club at Hogwarts for students with an interest in astronomy. A poster promoting this club was put up on the noticeboard in the Gryffindor common room at some point during the 1990s.

✔  Charms Club
Charms Club is a club in which the members presumably discuss charms and perhaps learn Charms that would not be taught in class.
✔   Read a book that has been challenged or banned.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
✔   Read a book with the genre "Magical Realism" on its main page.
The Angel's Game by Carlos Ruiz Zafon

✔  Chudley Cannons Fan Club
The Chudley Cannons are a British Quidditch team. They wear bright orange robes, and their logo included two black Cs and a speeding cannonball. They have won the League Cup twenty-one times, the last time in 1892; many consider their glory days to be over."
✔  Read a book with a predominately orange cover.

Dueling Club
Dueling Club was founded with the intention of teaching students of Hogwarts how to duel in case they ever need to defend themselves. The first meeting of the club was held on December 17 at 8:00 in the Great Hall.

Gobstone Club
Gobstones is an ancient game that resembles marbles. It is mostly popular amongst wizarding children who tend to "grow out" of the game as they get older. As such, it was ranked low in popularity at Hogwarts.
✔ Read a book with an average rating of 3.5 or lower.
Chef Charming by Lyn Ellerbe 
✔ Read a book that takes place in any ancient civilization (i.e.- Ancient Rome, Ancient China, etc.)

✔ Hans Fan Club
Hans is a gloomy, oversized augurey, and the mascot of the Liechtenstein National Quidditch team.
✔  Read a book about a sports team.
The Man in the Crowd by M. Sydnor Jr.
✔ Read a book with an overwhelmingly bleak, melancholic or pessimistic tone.
The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick

Knitting Club
Knitting Club is an organisation devoted to the art of needlework. They published a magazine, Knitter's Own, which covered knitting patterns and tips.
✔  Read a book with yarn or knitting needles on the cover.
THE CHRISTMAS KNITTING BEE by De-ann Black 
✔ Read a book with any variation of the word "stitch" in the title.
A Stitch in Time by Amanda James

✔  Magical Creatures
Magical Creatures is for students with an interest in magizoology. Attendees were invited to bring their pets, in order to learn more about them. The club promises to show more than 40 creatures in a month.
✔  Read a book that features an animal that is not typically kept as a pet.
Stardust by Neil Gaiman
✔  Read a book with a MC who works with animals (i.e.- a vet or a breeder, etc.)
All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot 

✔  Potions Club
Potions Club is a club in which students could catch up on any Potions homework or assignments. A standard potions kit includes plant ingredients and supplies such as a Cauldron, small bottles, a knife, mortar and pestle, a wand and weighing scales.
✔ Read a book with the genre "Romance" on its main page.

✔  Read a book whose author's first initial can be found in the word POTIONS.
The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss

Rat Race Club
Rat Race Club is a student organisation at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that meets on Wednesdays at 5:45.
✔ Read a Dystopian or Post-Apocalyptic book.

✔ Read a book with a character who has had a streak of bad luck.
Magic Mirror by Michaela Thompson 

✔ Slug Club
Slug Club is a name for Horace Slughorn's favourite students at Hogwarts. Slughorn singled out students he thought had potential and invited these selected students to parties, and kept in touch with them even after they had graduated.
✔  Read a book where the MC has some unique skill.
Weingarten by J. Davis Bly  (MC, a ghost, can look into the eyes of the living and see the date of death - other ghosts can't do this)
✔  Read a book with more than 400 pages.
Girl's Guide to Witchcraft by Mindy Klasky (432 pages)

Slugs and Bugs Club
Slugs and Bugs Club is a student club at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry that was presumably for those interested in entomology.
✔  Read a book with an insect or slug on the cover.
Champagne Chic Lemonade Money by De-ann Black
  Read a book with that involves a "slimy" character.
Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen 

Wizard Card Collectors' Club
Wizard Card Collectors' Club is a student club. Its intentions are to promote the collecting, playing and trading of Wizard Cards.
✔ Read a book with the image of someone famous on the cover.
En Heldig Mand by Michael J. Fox
✔ Read a book where the MC has a hobby that involves collecting items.
The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton

Wizard's Chess Club
Wizard's Chess is the enchanted variant of the classic board game in which the pieces move of their own accord when commanded by the player. When a piece is taken, it is violently removed by the attacking piece.
✔ Read a book with the genre "Mystery" on its main page.
Louisiana Longshot by Jana Deleon  
✔ Read a book with a title containing the name of a chess piece.
