Crazy Challenge Connection: Pick a Theme 2015-2016

Pick a Theme hosted by Crazy Challenge Connection on Goodreads.

The theme I have picked is Fantasy and I want it to be a main page genre when I read the book.

PICK A THEME CHALLENGE
DURATION: September 1, 2015 - August 31, 2016

We all have favorite genres or themes that we like to read about. For this challenge, you will be able to choose a theme or genre to concentrate on for the next year. Your theme can be Victorian romance, travel, paranormal, pirates, detective, or whatever else you like to read.

The catch? You must spell out the name of our group - CRAZY CHALLENGE CONNECTION - using the first letter of book titles (do NOT count A, An and The) or the author’s first or last initial. No middle names or initials please! Elizabeth P. Duncan would count for E or D; Laura Ingalls Wilder would count for L or W. Remember, ALL books MUST be from the theme you've chosen for the challenge.

EXAMPLE: The chosen theme is Cookbooks. You would have to spell out CRAZY CHALLENGE CONNECTION using the first word of cookbook titles or the first or last initials of cookbook authors.

If you have trouble finding a title or author beginning with Z, you may use a title in which a major word begins with Z. If even that is too difficult, you may use any title or author's name in which the letter Z appears. However, we’re asking that you NOT use this option until the last two months of the challenge, or until you have completed everything but the Z. Please TRY to find a title beginning with the appropriate letter! Remember, this challenge lasts for an entire year, so there's LOTS of time to complete it :)

When you sign up for the challenge, be sure to tell us what theme you've chosen. And remember, you have a whole year to complete this challenge!

***If you have done this challenge in past years and want to make it a little harder there are many different things you could do. You could try using ONLY titles to spell CRAZY CHALLENGE CONNNECTION, or ONLY authors of your chosen theme. You could also try using all ebooks, books from the library, books that have won an award, or books that you own. These are just a few ideas, but feel free to get your creative juices flowing!!***

CHALLENGE RULES:
♦ If you want to participate in a challenge, please sign up by posting at least a partial list of the challenge requirements. This gives us a post to link you to, which you can use to update your books as the challenge progresses.

♦ Books must be at least 150 pages long(Please see link below in regards to graphic novels and manga). Cross-challenge posting is encouraged :)
General CCC Challenge Rules

For each book you read, please indicate the title, the author and the date you finished reading it. If you don’t, you won’t get credit for completing that task. If you don’t know how to post a link to the book title, cover or author, see the instructions here:Add a link to the book title, book cover and/or author

♦ If you want the challenge moderator to verify those books as you post them, copy/paste your update into a new message. If you do this while you still have the Edit window open, it will copy all of your formatting, etc. too. We don’t have time to scroll back through the entire thread looking for "message #15," or to follow links back to an original post.

♦ When you complete the challenge, post your entire list as a new message to make it easier for everyone to see what you’ve read :) If you don’t repost your list, your name will not be added to the list of those who have completed the challenge.

♦ And of course the most important rule of all…Have Fun!! =)
